I am an Assistant Professor in the War Gaming Department at the U.S. Naval War College and an Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from Northeastern University, an M.A. in International Relations and Religion from Boston University, and a B.A. in Political Science and History from Boston University.
My research focuses on issues related to international/national security, terrorist tactics and strategies, war gaming, and information warfare. My work has been published in Newsweek, USA Today, Democracy & Security, Terrorism and Political Violence, Studies in Conflict and Terrorism, the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of International Studies, in books on irregular warfare and terrorism, and in other outlets.
